There are trails throughout the park and just past the nature centre is the estuary leading into Saanich Inlet. It is here where eagles feed on the Salmon. Just behind the park is Mount Finlayson which is a popular hiking spot for many locals. It is quite a climb but offers spectacular views. In the park, just to the West of the highway, a short walk takes you to little Niagara Falls. The water tumbles down the cliff and then dissappears underground before running into the Goldstream River and then into Saanich Inlet. There are numerous accommodations as you prceed up the Malahat and some excellent places to eat. Be sure to stop at the summit viewpoint, which is the second pullout on the right as you head north on the Malahat. The viewpoint is separated from the highway by a large rock.
