| There are a number of places to eat on the Penders from fast food to fine dining. Be sure to phone ahead and book a reservation for dinner. Pender has a reasonable number of restaurants open during the spring and summer. Duing off season hours are restricted, so phone ahead. There are some excellent places to eat on Pender Islands. | There are plenty of good places to eat on the Penders. Just next door at the Port Browning Marina, you can find the Port Browning Cafe and Pub. They have a good menu and excellent meals created by Chef Georgina, formerly with the Islander Restaurant. Others include Pistou Grill where you can taste the excellent food of Pierre Delacote. It is open for lunch and dinner. The Hope Bay Cafe is on the dock at Hope Bay and has great view dining. The Aurora Restaurant and Syrens Bistro is on South Pender in the Poets Cove Resort. It has spectacular views a excellent food. You might want to try the Fairway Restaurant and Lounge at the Pender Island Golf and Country Club - (250) 629-6665. The Pender Island Bakery in the Driftwood Centre have some great lunch meals such as Panninis or takeout pizza. The Stand, a burger joint has one of the best burgers in the world, so they say and so does the newspaper articles posted outside the Stand. It is at the Otter Point Ferry Terminal. For a funky Island experience, maybe give it a try! They serve the kind of burgers that you have to gnaw at from the sides. |
